Job Overview

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a lovely SEN Secondary School in Winchester.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and be able to provide individualized support to students with ASC, complex needs, and challenging behaviors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the class teacher in delivering lessons to students with SEN needs
  • Assist with outdoor day trips and activity days to promote social skills and engagement
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, teachers, and support staff
  • Work collaboratively with the school's vision and core values to ensure a nurturing environment
Requirements
  • Patience, proactivity, and resilience to work with students with challenging behaviors
  • Experience working in a SEN school (not essential)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to develop relationships with students and staff
  • Right to work in the UK and up-to-date DBS registration
