Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join Barnardo's as a Children and Young People's Practitioner, working with families and young people in the Rugby District. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality services that support the well-being and development of children and young people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver engaging activities and programs that promote positive social and emotional skills in children.
  • Work closely with parents and carers to build strong relationships and provide support and guidance.
  • Conduct home visits and community outreach to engage with families and young people.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to supporting families.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Relevant qualifications and experience in childcare, youth work, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with families and professionals.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meet the needs of the service.
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and its application in practice.
  • Experience of working with vulnerable children and families, with a strong understanding of the issues that affect them.
