We are currently seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to enhance our Engineering team. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to influence our manufacturing processes and contribute to the success of our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary technical authority for manufacturing processes related to client products.
- Address and resolve technical inquiries from clients effectively.
- Facilitate discussions on design for manufacturability to optimize production efficiency and quality.
- Assist clients in troubleshooting manufacturing-related issues.
- Translate client specifications into actionable manufacturing strategies.
- Identify and resolve product-related challenges promptly, developing effective recovery plans.
- Establish and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) structures and strategies.
- Lead manufacturing readiness initiatives using the Product and Process Quality Planning (PPQP) framework.
- Develop and maintain assembly process flows, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Product Control Plans.
- Implement assembly setups and validation processes as required.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
- Analyze production metrics to evaluate and improve performance.
- Support the identification of root causes for inefficiencies and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with client specifications and industry standards.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Experience in a manufacturing or production setting, particularly with electro-mechanical products.
- Strong background in Continuous Improvement methodologies and problem-solving techniques.
- Proficient in data analysis and systematic problem-solving approaches.
- Experience in designing experiments and interpreting data effectively.
- Ability to mentor and guide technical staff.
- Proven ability to collaborate within cross-functional teams and lead projects.
- Familiarity with CAD software, Visio, Solidworks, and relevant Plexus applications.
- A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline is preferred.
