Job Description

AQA is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Product Management to lead our Product Management team and drive the strategic vision for our product offering.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success in product management, with a strong understanding of the education sector and regulatory requirements. They will be responsible for developing and implementing product strategies, leading the Product Management team, and ensuring that our products meet the evolving needs of customers and students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement product strategies consistent with AQA's vision and broader strategy.
  • Lead the Product Management team to define AQA's product roadmap and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact.
  • Communicate product plans, benefits, and expected outcomes to all stakeholders.
  • Ensure oversight of the full product lifecycle, from inception to discontinuation, and ensure that products and services meet customer and market needs.
  • Work closely with marketing, sales, and customer training teams to support the success of our products.
  • Collaborate with teams across the AQA group to ensure alignment with AQA's strategic direction.
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience in product management or educational product development.
  • Proven leadership and management experience, with the ability to inspire, coach, and mentor teams.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Passion for education and a commitment to improving learning outcomes through assessment.
