Job Title: Maintenance Engineer

Location: Solihull, West Midlands, and Northamptonshire

Contract: Contract and permanent roles available

Shifts: Multiple shifts available, including days, double days, and rotating shifts

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Apex Resource Management Ltd. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facilities by performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting equipment issues, and implementing preventative maintenance programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including lubrication, cleaning, and inspection of equipment
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and implement repairs
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance
  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure maintenance activities do not disrupt production schedules
  • Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes and procedures
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior maintenance staff
  • Develop and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and maintenance schedules
  • Stay up-to-date with new technologies and techniques to improve maintenance efficiency and effectiveness
  • Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for maintenance-related issues
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in maintenance engineering or a related field
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to pass a background check
