Engineering Instructor (Machining) Job Description

We are seeking an experienced engineering professional to deliver and coordinate the successful completion of qualifications at our high-tech training facility.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching, coaching, and mentoring young learners undertaking L2 qualifications in machining. A time-served engineer with machining experience (turning, drilling, and milling) and a level 3 or above in engineering is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and coordinate the successful completion of all aspects of qualifications
  • Train learners in the centre towards agreed qualifications in line with relevant awarding body standards
  • Work with young people and possess good communication and presentation skills

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years' relevant occupational experience within machining (fitting/milling/turning/drilling, CNC)
  • Level 3 (or above) occupational qualification
  • Assessor Qualification (A1, TAQA, CAVA, or equivalent) or teaching qualification (desirable)
