Role Overview

As a Group Financial Accountant at Pets at Home, you will play a key role in our fast-paced business, reporting to the Head of Financial Reporting. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the group consolidation process and preparing Group consolidated financial statements, ensuring IFRS compliance
  • Conducting cashflow modelling and drafting board papers for the audit committee on key accounting areas
  • Preparing consolidated monthly board packs, including balance sheet and cashflow analysis
  • Drafting group accounting policies related to new and amended standards
  • Engaging in ad hoc project work to support the business

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) with a minimum of two years PQE
  • Analytical with high attention to detail and strong Excel skills
  • Clear communicator, able to present complex data understandably
