Job Title: Concrete Batcher/Multi Skilled Operative

Wright Engineering is seeking a skilled Concrete Batcher/Multi Skilled Operative to support the Plant Manager in the operation of a busy Asphalt plant.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Weighbridge Operations: Ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the weighbridge, adhering to technical quality standards.
  • Coating Plant Operations: Operate the coating plant to produce asphalt in accordance with technical quality standards.
  • Loading Shovel Operations: Safely operate the loading shovel to meet production needs.
  • General Maintenance and Housekeeping: Perform general maintenance and housekeeping tasks around the site to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance: Comply with all Company Health, Safety, and Environmental systems, and report any incidents or near misses.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Previous experience working in a coating or similar production environment is preferred.
  • Skills and Qualifications: A good understanding of industry Health, Safety, and Environmental standards, good communication skills, and the ability to work within a busy team environment.
  • Training and Development: NVQ Wheeled Loader licence is an advantage, but full training will be provided to the successful applicant.
  • Personal Qualities: Flexible, reliable, and enthusiastic with a strong work ethic.
