Internal Auditor

We are seeking a highly skilled Internal Auditor to join our team at Pilgrims Europe. As an Internal Auditor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effectiveness of our internal controls and risk management processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the execution and delivery of the annual audit plan, ensuring timely and high-quality results.
- Contribute to the success of our Sarbanes-Oxley (Sox) Programme, executing walk-throughs, testing key financial reporting and disclosure controls, and reporting on findings.
- Perform risk-based operational and financial audits, identifying areas for improvement and providing recommendations for remediation.
- Present and discuss audit findings, recommendations, and conclusions with management, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution.
- Help manage and train junior team members, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
- Track outstanding recommendations and ensure their implementation, maintaining a high level of quality and compliance.
- Draft comprehensive and concise audit reports, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
- Prepare flowcharts, identify key controls, and draft risk-based audit programmes, ensuring a thorough and effective approach.
- Assist with special project work as requested by the Internal Audit Manager, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
- Identify potential process and business improvement opportunities, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
- Attend and present at meetings as requested, showcasing expertise and professionalism.
- Strong Microsoft skills, with proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to reason effectively, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong team player and stakeholder management skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
- Ability to understand and challenge existing processes, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
- Methodical and diligent in data analysis, with a strong attention to detail.
- Relevant finance or business degree/accounting or audit qualification.
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in internal or external auditing.
- Experience working in an international manufacturing/food processing environment.
- Experience using data analytics and understanding of Sox Section 404 requirements.
- Experience with SAP and other relevant software systems.
