About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Engineer to join our Engineering Team at our Telford site. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Optimise machinery output and product quality through effective preventative maintenance and efficient breakdown response.
  • Minimise plant downtime by communicating unscheduled breakdowns to the Engineering Shift Manager / Principal Engineer and working with the operations department to minimise plant disruption.
  • Ensure all activities are carried out within health and safety guidelines, highlighting possible areas of improvement to the Engineering Shift Manager / Principal Engineer.
  • Timely reporting of any Health and Safety, Animal Welfare and Environmental Issues.
Requirements
  • An advanced Engineering Apprenticeship in either mechanical or electrical disciplines.
  • Solid Engineering experience, ideally within food manufacturing.
  • Mechanical fitting skills. Machining, welding and fabrication experience would be advantageous.
  • Industrial refrigeration experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Desirable Advanced Electrical qualification.
  • Desirable good knowledge of PLCs, Variable speed drives and control systems.
