Job Description

TPF Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts and Tax Manager to join their team in a multisite accountancy practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing client portfolios, overseeing service delivery, and building strong relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Portfolio Management: Manage a diverse client portfolio, including limited companies, sole traders, partnerships, and individuals.
  • Service Delivery: Oversee and manage all aspects of client service delivery, including preparation of year-end accounts, management accounts, bookkeeping, VAT, and CIS.
  • Client Liaison: Liaise with clients on accounts and tax issues as required, providing expert advice and guidance.
  • Team Management: Act as the main point of contact for clients, keeping them informed of progress and maintaining regular contact. Review work completed by junior team members and resolve any issues prior to submission.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, identifying opportunities for growth and development.
  • Staff Development: Develop, retain, and motivate junior members of staff, assisting in the management of the overall day-to-day running of the practice.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent with at least 3 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Practice Experience: Proven experience of working in a practice environment, managing a client portfolio, and establishing strong client relationships.
  • Software Skills: Experience of using cloud-based accounting software packages such as Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks. Experience of TaxCalc or a similar accountancy software is desirable but not essential.
