About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Manager/Senior Paraplanner to join our team at Churchill Executive. As a key member of our wealth management team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of para-planning work produced by paraplanners/trainee paraplanners and outsourced para planners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor the quality of para-planning work and provide feedback to improve performance.
  • Act as a point of contact for queries related to para-planning work.
  • Receive and carry out instructions from meeting notes/tasks from financial planners following client meetings.
  • Interpret data obtained by planners during client meetings and establish recommendations with the planner via debriefings.
  • Analyse data received from clients and providers, and use research tools to provide solutions that meet client needs and objectives.
  • Write suitability letters and financial planning reports that are accurate, personalized, and aligned with client objectives.
  • Provide all necessary appendices, illustrations, applications, and key features documentation for suitability letters and reports.
  • Implement agreed actions from authority to proceed notifications, including taking fees from providers, allocating investments to wrappers, linking investment models, and placing buy/sell trades.
  • Complete annual ISA reporting to ensure all clients (where applicable) have utilized their annual ISA allowances.
  • Participate and contribute to investment committee meetings.
  • Stay up-to-date with legislation and product changes by attending and maintaining continuous professional development.
  • Adhere to the 6-step process of financial planning.
Requirements
  • GCSEs in Mathematics and English (grades A-C/1-3) and a Diploma in Financial Planning or equivalent.
  • Good IT skills and excellent telephone manner.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
