Job Title: Management Accountant

We are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join our team at Federal Management System, Inc. in Mallusk. As a key member of our Finance team, you will play a crucial role in providing financial guidance and support to our business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including full reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts.
  • Monitor and report on job performance, ensuring timely and accurate financial information.
  • Administer daily bank activities, including bank reconciliations and cash flow forecasting.
  • Manage UK and ROI VAT/CIS, including returns and compliance.
  • Perform financial accounting activities, including journal entries, profit and loss account reconciliations, and financial analysis.
  • Prepare year-end audit files and liaise with external auditors.
  • Analyze job costing and WIP reporting to optimize business performance.
  • Develop and recommend process improvements to enhance financial efficiency.
  • Prepare government statistical returns and budget administration.
  • Manage a finance team to meet monthly deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Accountant with membership of a recognized accountancy body (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA) or equivalent.
  • Excellent IT and Excel skills, with experience in using a financial accounting package.
  • Ability to work under pressure, delivering a varied portfolio of work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong focus on organizational skills and attention to detail.
