Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our multi-disciplinary team at a major nuclear facility. The successful candidate will work closely with our Mechanical, Civil, Building Services, and Electrical Engineers to develop and maintain Engineering Design Substantiation documents, ensuring compliance with safety and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop Examination, Inspection, Maintenance & Testing (EIMT) schedules and safety reports.
  • Apply engineering knowledge to design, develop, and maintain engineering processes and systems.
  • Assess electrical equipment for hazards and specify systems for HV and LV networks.
  • Contribute to concept design, detailed design, and construction stages across various electrical engineering projects.
Requirements:
  • Experience in assessing electrical equipment.
  • Specification skills for HV and LV networks.
  • Familiarity with industrial machinery.
  • Experience in multi-discipline projects.
  • Experience in high-risk environments.
  • Knowledge of nuclear industry regulations.
  • Safety case related training.
