Join Labcorp's Ecotoxicology Team

We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Scientist to lead our Ecotoxicology team in Shardlow, Derbyshire. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for shaping and executing our ecotoxicology development strategy, enhancing and growing the business through internal and external collaborations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute ecotoxicology strategic growth plans to advance scientific capabilities and meet future regulatory needs.
  • Lead and develop the Study Direction team, ensuring both professional and personal development through training, education, and networking.
  • Oversee scientific, technical, and regulatory conduct of studies, including study interpretation and regulatory acceptance.
  • Ensure the quality and on-time delivery of ecotoxicology studies to meet agreed customer timelines.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and provide customers with advice and guidance on all aspects of ecotoxicology.
Requirements:
  • Full understanding of regulatory requirements and scientific techniques of aquatic and/or terrestrial ecotoxicology studies.
  • Extensive experience of client management and technical expertise in the relevant business line.
  • Previous experience in a Study Director role or equivalent would be useful but not essential.
  • PhD or equivalent, or MSc/BSc degree in an appropriate scientific discipline.
  • Experience of a range of techniques/approaches relevant to the department and/or unique expertise for a specific scientific service.
  • Skilled data interpretation and report writing experience.
