Role Overview:

The Trading Infrastructure Specialist at Squarepoint Capital plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability and stability of our trading services, both in cloud environments and within our proprietary data centers. Collaborating with a global team of exceptional technologists, you will engage with our computing hardware, infrastructure applications, and telecommunications technologies, taking direct responsibility for the prompt identification and analysis of infrastructure issues as the essential first line of defense.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to work across a broad spectrum of technology infrastructure, including: computational hardware and storage solutions, operating systems and virtualization technologies, real-time data streaming platforms, CI/CD frameworks, load balancing systems, observability tools, container orchestration technologies, and foundational networking technologies, among others.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Network Engineering, or a related field
  • Up to 4 years of experience in a comparable environment
  • Proficiency with Linux operating systems
  • Experience in administering RDBMS systems such as MSSQL, Postgres, etc.
  • Ability to program or script in one or more languages, including Python, Bash, or PowerShell
  • Familiarity with tools such as Kubernetes, Gitlab, Prometheus, Ansible, and a solid understanding of CI/CD principles
  • Excellent communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a global team
  • A strong desire to continuously learn new technologies and grow with the organization
  • A curious mindset and the ability to thrive under pressure.
