Job Title: Manufacturing Field Engineer

Join our team of experts in the software-defined vehicle revolution at Robert Bosch Group. As a Manufacturing Field Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless integration of our diagnostic solutions with our customers' manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement diagnostic solutions for our customers.
  • Work closely with customers to understand their manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Design and deploy End of Line (EOL) diagnostic hardware and software to ensure efficient and accurate testing.
  • Verify and test EOL test sequences to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Participate in plant vehicle launches to ensure successful deployment of EOL test systems.
  • Provide on-site support to resolve issues related to diagnostic solutions.
  • Develop and deliver customer documentation and training to ensure effective use of diagnostic solutions.
  • Install and configure EOL Runtime on QA and Production Servers to support customer migrations.
  • Set up and configure plant-specific networks for validation testing.
  • Validate server plant management web-based tools to ensure seamless integration.
  • Run SQL scripts to upgrade database schema and stored procedures.
Requirements:
  • Working knowledge of Windows operating systems (XP, 7, 10) and VMWARE/Virtual Box applications.
  • Understanding of Windows background services and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DHCP).
  • Knowledge of vehicle diagnostics protocols (KWP2000, ISO14230, ISO15765, J1939, ISO14229, ISO13400).
  • Basic knowledge of electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Microsoft SQL Server knowledge and XML file expertise.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment (2/3 days in the Manchester office).
