Mechanical Estimator

Strong Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join their dynamic team. As a Mechanical Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for mechanical services projects, with a focus on commercial fit-outs.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare detailed cost estimates for mechanical services (HVAC, plumbing, and other building services) on commercial fit-out projects.
- Interpret drawings, specifications, and other documentation to accurately assess project requirements.
- Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations, ensuring competitive pricing and compliance with project specifications.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other internal teams to ensure estimates align with project timelines and scopes.
- Conduct risk analysis and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
- Attend client meetings, site visits, and post-tender negotiations to discuss project requirements and refine estimates as needed.
- Maintain and update pricing databases for materials, labour, and equipment to reflect current market conditions.
- Support the development of commercial strategies and contribute to business development activities.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical estimating within the construction industry, particularly with commercial fit-out projects.
- Strong understanding of mechanical services (HVAC, plumbing, etc.) in building services.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
