Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant Role

Are you a motivated Maths Graduate looking to gain valuable experience in a supportive Secondary School environment? We have an exciting opportunity for a Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant to join our team in Sutton.

This role is perfect for aspiring Maths Teachers who want to build relevant, paid classroom experience prior to commencing an Initial Teacher Training Programme. As a Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will have the opportunity to provide in-class support, intervention sessions, revision classes, catch-up classes, and get involved in extra-curricular Maths opportunities.

We are looking for Maths Graduates who have obtained a minimum of a 2:1 degree classification alongside strong academic performance within GCSE and A-Level examinations. While experience as a Maths Tutor or another form of child-centred experience is advantageous, talented Maths Graduates looking to gain experience for the first-time can still be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide in-class support to Maths teachers
  • Deliver intervention sessions to students in need
  • Lead revision classes and catch-up sessions
  • Participate in extra-curricular Maths activities
