Position Overview:
The Facilities Management Division at Lancashire County Council is seeking a dedicated Cleaning Operative to perform essential cleaning tasks at the Meadowfold Hyndburn Ribble Valley Short Break facility.
Lancashire County Council is committed to providing crucial residential care services to the community, ensuring a safe and secure environment that promotes independence for older individuals while catering to diverse care requirements. The Facilities Management team plays a vital role in maintaining cleanliness across all Residential Care Homes and Day Centres, which is fundamental for the well-being of all facility users.
High standards of cleanliness are expected, and while prior experience is advantageous, comprehensive training and continuous support will be offered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Damp wiping and mopping
- Vacuuming
- Restroom sanitation
- Washroom upkeep
- Carpet maintenance
- Deep cleaning tasks
- Light kitchen responsibilities
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, from 09:30 to 12:00
Travel Requirements:
Applicants must have reliable means of transportation to the designated work location.
This position is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975, and successful candidates will be required to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
