Job Title: Yard Technician

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated HGV Technician to join our team as a Yard Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for performing repairs and inspections on our HGV vehicles and trailers on our yard.

About the Role

This is a key position within our workshop, and you will report directly to the Workshop Manager. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out smaller repairs to DPD's fleet of Mercedes Benz tractor and trailer units.
  • Mechanical and Electrical repairs on vehicles.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have had experience working within a similar Heavy Goods or Heavy Plant role, or have knowledge of yellow goods repairs. Ideally, you will be Level 3 trained in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or be a time served technician.

You will have knowledge of working on Mercedes, DAF, Dennis, Volvo, and Renault vehicles. You must demonstrate the core values of DPD's DNA – Passion, Respect, Honesty, Flexibility, Caring, and Accountability.
