Job Summary:

Penguin Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Drainage Engineering Manager to join an established team of flood risk and drainage specialists in Bournemouth. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing complex flood risk assessments, drainage strategies, and residential drainage designs for private sector clients and local authorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and deliver flood risk assessments for flood zones 1, 2, and 3
  • Develop and implement surface water management plans
  • Design and manage surface water and foul drainage strategies
  • Conduct detailed residential drainage and sewerage design using AutoCAD, Causeway, and Microdrainage
  • Lead drainage area planning initiatives
  • Mentor and manage project teams

Requirements:

  • Strong academic background in a relevant discipline
  • Chartered status or close to achieving
  • Experience working for a UK-based consultancy or local authority
  • Proficiency in Microdrainage or Causeway Flow
