Job Overview
This position presents a unique opportunity within Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, aimed at enhancing expertise and experience in clinical research within Haematology departments.
The ideal candidate will collaborate with a dedicated team and foster strong partnerships with Research Networks to achieve national recruitment goals for clinical trials. Comprehensive mentorship and specialized training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will manage a diverse portfolio of local, national, and international clinical trials. Responsibilities include:
- Conducting interviews and recruiting patients who opt to participate in trials.
- Overseeing treatment for trial participants and assisting in the collection of trial data in both outpatient and inpatient environments.
- Establishing connections with various directorates within the Trust and collaborating with other local Trusts.
The candidate must be a Registered Nurse with substantial nursing experience, particularly in Haematology or Clinical Research. Proficiency in phlebotomy, alongside experience in training both qualified and unqualified staff, is essential. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Proficiency in IT is also necessary.
Additional Qualifications
A degree or diploma related to Health Services or Nursing is advantageous.
