About the Role

Superscript is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Underwriting Assistant to support the underwriting team in various administrative tasks that are crucial to the underwriting process.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a knowledgeable and supportive team to make a significant impact in ensuring the efficient processing of insurance applications, renewals, and endorsements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect, organize, and review documentation required for underwriting, including applications and other relevant information.
  • Input and update information in our underwriting system, ensuring all data is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Act as a point of contact for the wider team, relaying information between underwriters and external stakeholders as necessary.
  • Ensure that all underwriting activities adhere to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and distribute regular reports on underwriting activities, assisting in the analysis of data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation for audits and compliance reviews.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance knowledge of underwriting processes and insurance products.
  • Provide general support to the underwriting team as needed.
About You
  • 1-3 years of experience in an insurance-related support role, ideally within underwriting or broking.
  • Adept in technology and experience with underwriting software and databases.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • A team player that enjoys collaborating in a cross-functional setting.
  • Comfortable dealing with multiple items at any one time.
  • Problem-solving capabilities and the ability to use your own initiative.
  • Able to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ideally, Cert CII qualified, or keen to progress.
