About the Role

Sulmara is seeking a highly skilled Reporting Manager to support our new Data Centre in Norwich. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects related to the transmission, analysis, quality control, and dissemination of reports, charts, and associated data and processed products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple project cycles and ensure continuous improvement, logical consistency, and efficiency of these production cycles.
  • Utilize appropriate technical solutions for data handling, processing, and delivery for onshore and offshore applications.
  • Refine and adhere to policies and tools for preparation, management, documentation, formatting, and distribution of data to clients and stakeholders.
  • Stay updated and apprised of new technologies related to data handling, transmission, and storage to evaluate for potential business use.
  • Enforce software and datasets version control, maintenance of archival systems, and reliable backups, organization, and archiving of data from legacy projects.
  • Cooperate with the Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) department to improve QA/QC aspects related to data management.
  • Enforce and assist with data management procedures (data documentation, QA/QC procedures, versioning, etc.).
  • Work to targets set by the Data Delivery Manager and Regional Director for the function in line with the strategic objectives set for the business in the yearly budget.
  • Support Commercial teams with the preparation and submission of proposals by assisting with line plan development, survey timings, and costing and timing of reporting technical solutions to meet client requirements.
  • Participate in audits from clients and standards organizations as well as audits carried out on our suppliers and sub-contractors on data security and management.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken), other languages will be a plus.
  • Master's degree in Geophysics, Geosciences, Hydrography, or related field.
  • Extensive practical experience related to Data Processing, Interpretation, and Reporting of Marine Site Characterisation products, including data integration.
  • Track record of successful reports and data delivery for site characterisation.
  • Understanding of database concepts and processing software (e.g., GIS, SQL, Python, EIVA, QINSy, SonarWiz, Kingdom, and CODA).
  • Good understanding of Geomatics concepts, i.e., horizontal and vertical datums and transformations.
  • Knowledge of spatial data management, GIS, and GIS data processing.
  • Experience with Cloud Computing/Networking/Cybersecurity.
