Job Title: Science Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Science Teacher to join our team at New Forest Care Ltd, a small independent school located on the Isle of Wight.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons in Science, following the national curriculum. They will also have a desire to work in an SEN setting and be approachable, flexible, and adaptable, with a desire to make a difference in our students' lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver lessons in Science, following the national curriculum.
  • Support children with social and emotional behavioural needs within an educational environment.
  • Have effective communication and relationship building skills.
  • Be passionate about providing quality education care and support to young people.
  • Intervene physically with students, when required, using Team Teach trained techniques.
  • Demonstrate analytical thinking to improve the quality of pupils' learning.
  • Build team commitment with colleagues and engage and motivate pupils.
Requirements
  • QTS or equivalent required.
  • Proven teaching experience.
  • Desire to work in an SEN setting.
  • Effective communication skills and build good relationships.
  • Flexible and adaptable.
  • Full UK driving licence – desirable.
