Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Part-time Cook to join our team at a prestigious family-owned nursing home in Northern Ireland. As a Part-time Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals and snacks for residents, managing stock control, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals and snacks according to pre-set menus, ensuring they are nutritious, appetizing, and meet dietary needs.
- Manage simple stock control, reporting goods to be ordered to relevant senior staff to maintain adequate supplies.
- Keep the kitchen clean, including washing up crockery and utensils. Dispose of waste correctly and ensure all food is used within prescribed periods.
- Be aware of residents' dietary needs and respond to their comments and requests regarding the menu.
- Assist in covering leave for other Kitchen Assistant staff.
Requirements:
- Good communication skills to interact with residents.
- Ability to work both in a team and independently.
- Previous experience in a Healthcare catering role and Food Hygiene Level 2 certification.
