Job Overview

NES Fircroft is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Technician to join our Workshop team in Aberdeenshire. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for carrying out all aspects of repair, overhaul, and assembly on a variety of drilling equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to Risk Assessments and Toolbox Talks
  • Perform all job functions in a safe and efficient manner
  • Carry out Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) to Company Standards
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of timesheets and inspection reports
  • Conduct Quality Control Checks at Goods In Point
  • Report and participate in investigations of unsafe practices and behaviors
  • Suggest Improvements to Working Practices and Product Lines
  • Ensure adherence to local waste management policies and procedures
  • Operate Forklifts, Overhead Gantry Cranes, and Vertical Lift Platforms
Requirements
  • Hold a NVQ Level 3/HNC or equivalent in a Mechanical Engineering discipline
  • Have a good working knowledge of fluid power systems
  • Experience in Pressure Testing (Gas and Fluid Based)
  • Demonstrate knowledge of mechanical systems
  • Ability to Read Schematic and Layout Drawings
  • Effective communication skills in English (written and oral)
