About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Superintendent Pharmacist to join our dynamic team at Bolt Pharmacy. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a central role in ensuring the seamless operation of our online pharmacy, while also taking on line management responsibility for our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assume the role of responsible pharmacist as required by GPhC regulations.
  • Undertake effective line management responsibility for pharmacy staff.
  • Ensure continuous compliance with GPhC standards for registered pharmacies, identifying and addressing risks and compliance gaps to manage and mitigate potential issues.
  • Authorise prescriber risk assessments and protocols.
  • Conduct spot audits and review feedback to ensure adherence to standards.
  • Ensure all pharmacy SOPs are established, kept up to date with version control, and signed by the necessary parties.
  • Manage pharmacy incidents and complaints promptly and appropriately.
  • Participate in the management of the pharmacy by leading monthly governance meetings.
  • Ensure regular pharmacy audits are carried out and implement findings and recommendations.
  • Prepare for GPhC inspections, leading the inspection process and ensuring all necessary work is completed.
  • Maintain the risk assessment register, ensuring annual reviews that reflect current product safety profiles.
  • Proactively suggest solutions to enhance products, services, and customer experience.
  • Foster a culture of innovation by identifying improvement opportunities and assisting in the development of new solutions.
  • Keeping track of KPIs and ensuring we are managing targets.
Requirements
  • Experience in HealthTech, digital pharmacy management, or leadership roles.
  • Qualified pharmacist, registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Ability to blend a commercial mindset with a strong focus on risk and quality management.
  • Solid understanding of GPhC guidance for registered pharmacies providing remote services.
  • Good understanding of the prescribing framework.
  • Experience leading GPhC inspections.
  • Experience with automation or operational efficiency projects within a pharmacy setting.
Working Hours and Location

Monday-Friday 9am-5.30pm

Alternate Saturdays 9am-12.30pm (with equivalent hours off during the weekday)
