Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Design Manager to join our team at The Outsourced Recruitment Company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of projects from inception to delivery, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
  • Balance technical input and guidance, programme requirements, and project commercial objectives and relationships with stakeholders.
  • Work with managers and stakeholders to define project scope, funding routes, and approach.
  • Select and implement appropriate design strategies for each project and the wider lifecycle programme.
  • Manage design consultants and D&B contractors from selection to delivery, ensuring seamless project execution.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Degree/HND/HNC in Building, Engineering, or Architecture.
  • Experience: Proven track record in design management, with a strong background in complex multi-funded projects.
  • Knowledge of JSPs, building regulations, and fire standards in the defence environment.
  • Experience in implementing sustainability improvement projects in the built environment.
  • Excellent communication, IT, and organisational skills, with the ability to influence and guide.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to changing environments.
