Position Summary: We are in search of a detail-oriented Construction Cost Analyst to manage the estimating processes within our organization. This role involves working on diverse projects across various sectors, including Light Industrial, Commercial, and Defence, with project values ranging from £250k to £5 million.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive project cost estimates, taking into account project complexity, objectives, and financial analysis.
  • Engage with specialized subcontractors to obtain package estimates for various construction elements.
  • Assess project risks and determine appropriate contingency estimates.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates based on material take-offs and architectural drawings.
  • Identify uncertainties and apply suitable allowances in estimates.
  • Benchmark estimates against historical data and industry standards.
  • Prepare and review Change Order estimates, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with the Commercial Director and Managing Director on bid analysis and contract negotiations.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess a construction-related qualification and demonstrate prior estimating experience within a construction environment. A solid understanding of construction practices, materials, and equipment is essential.

Personal Attributes: We are looking for a proactive team player who can effectively collaborate with project teams and build strong relationships with external contractors and stakeholders.

Compensation: This position offers a competitive salary range of £65,000 to £75,000 (dependent on experience), along with a company car or car allowance, pension, medical benefits, 25 days of holiday, and a profit-related bonus.
