Job Responsibilities
As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Managing the delivery of identified capital, infrastructure, or water network management projects with a focus on safe delivery to budget, schedule, and quality output.
- Managing directly and liaising with others to ensure project timescales are met and stakeholders are engaged.
- Procuring and managing a diverse range of consultant expertise across a multidisciplinary set of skills.
- Overseeing the management of construction project design, estimation, and project planning and delivery, including all relevant statutory processes and procurement management.
- Being accountable for project control, including resourcing and service delivery requirements, and ensuring consultant supervision and approving all payment certificates.
- Reviewing contractors' costs submissions and advising the SPM for sign-off.
- Monitoring and reporting on forecast and project out-turn cost in line with monthly PMO reporting cycle.
- Providing day-to-day management of construction service providers for capital projects, including conformance and compliance.
- Supervising project closeout activities, including commissioning and handover to operations and maintenance, and preparation and submission of project-specific handover documentation.
- Providing input into the on-going development of new templates, documents, systems, and processes for project/programme management to incorporate lessons learned and efficiencies.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree qualification in mechanical, electrical, civil engineering, or a related project management discipline such as APM or working towards APM accreditation.
- Knowledge of NEC 3 and 4 suite of contracts and CDM 2015.
- Experience working in the water sector or a regulated industry with at least 5+ years of project management experience.
- A full UK driving license.
