Job Summary:

Bilfinger UK is seeking a skilled Quality Inspector to join our team. As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products and services, adhering to industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and interpret quality plans, inspection and test plans, and supporting QA & NDT documentation.
  • Liaise with QA Manager, QC-Lead, and Project Leads to ensure submission of documentation and QA requirements for projects/maintenance.
  • Ensure WPS conformity, consumable control, weld fit-up inspection, welder qualification, cleanliness inspection, material traceability, material control, visual inspection of welds and material, dimensional control, calibration control, and parameter checks.
  • Raise Continuous Improvement Forms (CIFs) as appropriate and liaise with Client's QA/QC departments.
  • Support existing, strong workshop HSE Culture.

Work Packs:

  • Ensure all associated reports are complete, with required signatures and stamps, and review any blank fields.
  • Check dates are in the correct sequential order.
  • Verify revision against procedures.
  • Ensure FUDS are correct, with no blanks.
  • Ensure SQEP's personnel sign up the correct boxes, understanding inspection points.
  • Deliver results and meet customer expectations.
  • Cope with pressure and setbacks.
  • Write and report.
  • Plan and organize.
  • Work with people.
  • Apply expertise and knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • CSWIP Level 3.1 Welding Inspector or 3.2 Senior Welding Inspector.
  • PCN level 2 – Radiographic Interpretation.
  • Recognised Internal Auditor qualification.
  • ONC/HNC Mechanical Engineering/BTEC/City & Guilds or equivalent experience.
