PSR Solutions is seeking to hire a qualified Site Engineer for a prominent Tier 1 Main Contractor on a freelance basis.


This contractor is engaged in multiple projects throughout Yorkshire, spanning various sectors such as healthcare, education, commercial, and industrial. Typical project values managed by the contractor range from £30m to £120m.

As a Site Engineer, you will report directly to both the Site Manager and the Contracts Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Assurance
- Development of Inspection & Test Plans (ITP)
- Site Setting Out
- Supervision of trades and delivery teams
- Planning work packages, method statements, and risk assessments for all tasks
- Leading meetings and managing subcontractors
- Conducting stakeholder reviews and mentoring team members while ensuring training is current
- Participating in planning and workshop sessions
- Driving project timelines at the site level
- Quantifying materials and managing procurement processes
- Maintaining accurate quality assurance records of site progress
- Reporting weekly progress to the Construction Manager and planning team
- Collaborating with the commercial team to ensure projects remain within budget

Experience and Qualifications:
- Valid CSCS Card
- SSSTS / SMSTS Certification
- HNC/HND or equivalent qualification
- On-site experience as an Engineer, including setting out and quality assurance responsibilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Familiarity with AutoCAD
