Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join our Logistics Delivery team at Thames Water Utilities Limited. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of potable water tankers to support both reactive and planned work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a Class 1 HGV vehicle to transport potable water tankers to various locations.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation laws and regulations, including the Road Traffic Act and Drivers Hours rules.
  • Work collaboratively with the Logistics Delivery team to optimize transportation routes and schedules.
  • Participate in regular vehicle checks and maintenance to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders to ensure excellent customer service.
Requirements
  • Valid Class 1 HGV license with a clean driving record.
  • Experience in a similar role, preferably in the water or utility industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work a rotating shift pattern, including days and nights.
