We are seeking an exceptional SEN Teacher to join our dynamic Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Runcorn. As a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of our students.

About the Role:

As an SEN Teacher in this PRU, you will work with a small group of students who have been referred due to social, emotional, or mental health needs. Your primary focus will be on creating a safe and supportive learning environment that fosters student engagement and positive behaviour.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning to students with SEN, focusing on individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Create a safe and supportive learning environment that promotes student engagement and positive behaviour.
  • Collaborate with a dedicated team of professionals to provide targeted support for each pupil.
  • Develop strong relationships with students, families, and external agencies to support student progress and well-being.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching methods to ensure all students succeed.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with experience in Special Educational Needs.
  • Previous experience working in a PRU or with students with challenging behaviour is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A positive and resilient attitude with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
