We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Macro Plastics, Inc. in Wolverhampton, United Kingdom.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing manufacturing equipment, diagnosing faults, and conducting preventative maintenance on a continuous process production plant. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems, as well as experience with plant maintenance and repairs.
Key Responsibilities:- Support all engineering breakdowns, diagnose faults, and replace machine parts.
- Rectify hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical issues.
- Enhance, repair, and maintain all plant, equipment, and services within the manufacturing facility.
- Assist with the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
- Participate in improvement projects during planned downtime and identify engineering solutions to maximize efficiency.
- Maintain relationships with plant and services contractors/suppliers.
- Organize and maintain the technical database.
- Order spares/consumables required for engineering activities.
- Work closely with Production, Tool Change, and Tool Room teams.
- Operate within key Engineering and Health & Safety codes.
- Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Electrical or Multi-Skilled Engineering.
- GCSE Grade C and above or equivalent in Maths and English.
- Proven working knowledge of plant maintenance and repairs, including hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems.
- Able to read and understand electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings.
We offer a competitive hourly rate, dependent on experience, and a continental shift pattern with 2 x days and 2 x nights. You will also receive paid time off to hand over shifts to the next engineer.
