Job Opportunity: Vehicle Technician

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Working Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm or 8:30am - 5:30pm, working 1 in 4 Saturdays on a rota

Salary: OTE up to £51,600 (basic £30,000 - £45,000; plus OTE up to £6,000) + £2,000 joining bonus

About the Role:

Lookers is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join their team at Colchester Land Rover. As a key member of the service team, you will be responsible for conducting vehicle repairs using cutting-edge technology and working closely with experienced technicians.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing vehicle health checks using state-of-the-art technology
  • Carrying out vehicle services as per manufacturers guidelines and customer requests
  • Completing any additional repairs with customer authorization
  • Warranty repairs following manufacturer guidelines
  • Conducting road tests on customer vehicles to ensure proper functioning
  • Documenting all work accurately and thoroughly

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will hold NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent, have motor industry experience, and possess a full UK driving license. We are looking for individuals who are self-motivated, eager to learn, and committed to maintaining high standards in their work.
