We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic leader to join our team as Director of Data and Digital. Key Responsibilities- Strategic Leadership: Provide expert strategic knowledge, experience, and an innovative approach to data and digital transformation.
- Data and Digital Strategy: Work closely with our Chief Operating Officer to develop and implement our data and digital strategies, ensuring they are continually appraised and updated to reflect our business strategy and goals.
- Team Leadership: Provide leadership, management, training, and coaching to our data and digital teams, setting a strong people strategy and developing them in line with our business strategy and budget.
- Data Analytics: Oversee our Data Analytics team and their production of near-real-time and historical reporting of all key business metrics in an accessible, scalable reporting suite.
- Data Engineering and Science: Develop our team's Data Engineering, Data Science, and Data Governance functions, with a strong focus on partnering with the business to ensure good data stewardship and data quality.
- Digital Architecture: Maintain overall responsibility for the architecture, delivery, effectiveness, maintenance, and resilience of our digital application landscape, including CRM/back office systems, client-facing technologies, client servicing tools, and business applications.
- Compliance and Security: Collaborate with our Director of IT to ensure the compliance, security, and resilience of our data and digital landscape, including its relevance to Business Continuity, Operational Resilience, and Disaster Recovery planning.
- Data Privacy: Act as our Data Privacy Officer, ensuring the protection of our clients' personal data.
- Substantial Experience: Significant experience in a senior management position, supervising and providing inspirational leadership and strong management.
- Industry Expertise: Substantial experience in delivering excellent data insight/digital solutions for financial and/or legal services businesses, preferably in financial planning and/or wealth management, and understanding of data, processes, and regulations relevant to the provision of these services.
- Strategic Planning: Experienced in strategic planning, implementing, delivering, and managing large-scale, complex data/digital projects and change programmes.
- Data Skills: Substantial experience in data analytics, data engineering, data warehousing, and data science, with demonstrable expert-level understanding of and substantial experience working with complex data architectures.
- Technical Expertise: Demonstrable expert-level understanding of technologies such as Azure Synapse Analytics, SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Power BI, and Microsoft Purview.
- Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to tailor information to the audience and present complex information in an accessible form to any stakeholder.
- Flexibility: Flexible and responsive, with the ability to work well under pressure with minimal or no supervision and maintain team engagement and productivity in challenging situations.
