Job Description

**Job Title:** Unqualified Teaching Assistant

**Job Type:** Full-time

**Location:** Northampton

**About Us:** Monarch Education is an education recruitment agency specializing in placing teachers and teaching assistants in their ideal roles.

**Job Summary:** We are currently working with primary schools in the Northampton area to find an unqualified teaching assistant to start as soon as possible.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Listen to pupils read, read to them, and tell them stories
  • Look after pupils who have had accidents, need help, or are upset
  • Deliver tailored teaching activities to individual pupils or small groups of pupils
  • Ensure pupils engage in learning and stay on task
  • Support the social and emotional development of pupils and report any issues when necessary
  • Support the teacher in managing challenging pupil behavior and promoting positive behavior
  • Guide and monitor pupil progress
  • Help with the planning of some lessons

**Requirements:**

  • Previous experience working in an education setting
  • Enhanced DBS check
  • Two references
