Position Summary

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to contribute expertise to our Original Equipment (OE) and Aftermarket (AM) sectors. This role focuses on supporting various functions including Customer Service, Sales, Tendering, Operations, and Field Service on a global scale. Opportunities exist for involvement with both pump systems and associated equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver technical support and engineering design capabilities to the business.
  • Analyze customer specifications and requirements.
  • Develop and agree on engineering plans and milestones, monitoring performance throughout execution.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams.
  • Provide comprehensive Mechanical Engineering support throughout the product lifecycle, from initial design to in-service support.
  • Execute a wide range of Mechanical Engineering Design tasks with minimal supervision, including design calculations, technical specifications, and compliance with relevant standards.
  • Assist teams in meeting project deadlines while ensuring quality and efficiency.
  • Represent engineering in collaboration with other departments such as Supply Chain, Operations, and Quality.
  • Support post-design activities including testing, commissioning, and warranty support.
  • Engage in Field Technical Services, conducting assessments and upgrades for rotating equipment.
  • Willingness to travel for field assignments as required.

Required Skills

  • Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering principles combined with essential professional attributes.
  • Proficient in technical report writing.
  • Familiarity with rotating machinery and its ancillary systems.
  • Competence in discipline-specific software and a capacity to influence software development.
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset.
  • Effective communication skills for interactions at all organizational levels.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in Mechanical Engineering Design with minimal oversight.
  • A minimum of 3 years in the industry.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines for personal, team, and project objectives.
  • Interest in Pump and related Package Technology.
