Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a dedicated Advocate for Modern Slavery Survivors to assist individuals affected by modern slavery and human trafficking. This role involves facilitating access to essential services that support their physical, emotional, and social recovery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide consistent contact and support to victims of human trafficking, fostering independence and safety while adhering to professional boundaries.
• Conduct thorough preliminary risk assessments for referred individuals, ensuring immediate safeguarding needs are addressed.
• Deliver initial support and resources to new clients, including a welcome pack and comprehensive assessments to develop personalized recovery plans.
• Guide clients in accessing necessary services and collaborate with multi-agency teams to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Advocate for clients during the National Referral Mechanism process, ensuring they understand their rights and options.
• Offer individualized information and support regarding victim entitlements.
• Address the complex needs of clients who have experienced various forms of exploitation.
• Maintain the safety and security of the accommodation, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Manage conflicts that may arise within the living environment.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation within case management systems.

Essential Qualifications:

• Minimum of 'A' level/Level 3 education or equivalent; Level 2 may be considered with relevant experience.
• Experience working with vulnerable populations, including children, with a strong understanding of safeguarding protocols.
• Background in supportive roles for individuals facing homelessness or destitution.
• Knowledge of risk assessment and safety planning for victims of modern slavery.
• Familiarity with indicators of human trafficking and the support systems available in the UK.

This role is subject to a DBS check at the appropriate level.
