Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Chief Executive Officer to lead our organisation and take our strategy forward. As the leader of our high-profile children's hospice, you will be responsible for developing and building on our excellent reputation, refining our strategic direction, and delivering a step change in income generation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the organisation and develop a clear strategic direction
  • Build on our excellent reputation and develop a strong brand
  • Refine our organisational governance and ensure effective collaboration with the Board
  • Develop and deliver a strategy to drive organisational change and growth
  • Manage finances and resources effectively to achieve our goals
  • Lead and inspire our employees and engage with our volunteer networks
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including donors, funders, and partners
  • Ensure we work together as one hospice, supporting and inspiring our employees and engaging across our volunteer networks
Requirements
  • Demonstrable senior leadership experience with a track record of delivering impact and results in a complex organisation
  • Experience of strong organisational governance and working collaboratively with a Board
  • Ability to develop and deliver strategy, and drive organisational change
  • Commercial and entrepreneurial, with a track record of effective financial and resource management
  • A track record of inspirational and visionary leadership with a collaborative and inclusive style
  • A track record of successful stakeholder management and effective relationship building
  • Highly skilled negotiator and influencer with the empathy and ability to adjust communications to different audiences
  • Interest in and commitment to the aims and objectives of Children's Hospice South West
