Assistant Registrar

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Registrar to join our busy Registrar team in the national Collections Management and Information department. The successful candidate will provide great Registrar support to our properties, working initially on our programme of collections acquisitions and loans, with scope to work on other Registrar tasks as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Registrar support to our properties, working on collections acquisitions and loans management.
- Manage a large number of ongoing projects, working flexibly in evolving situations.
- Deliver training for our Trust teams about our collections management procedures.
- Provide timely and practical advice as needed.
- Undertake key administrative tasks, such as managing inboxes, responding to emails, taking meeting minutes and writing reports.
Requirements:
- Great people and customer service skills.
- Strong communication skills, able to build relationships and liaise with colleagues across the Trust and externally.
- Experience of using collections management systems.
- Awareness of collections management procedures, Spectrum 5.1 and UK Museum Accreditation standards.
- Proficiency in full suite of Microsoft Office tools.
- Ability to multi-task, with attention to detail and able to maintain confidentiality.
- Comfortable engaging and developing external stakeholders with ease and confidence.
