About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Technologist to join our NPD team at Distinct Consultancy Group Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of successful scale-up of customer-approved concepts, meeting customers' quality expectations, and maintaining agreed commercials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Development: Involved in the preparation and running of line trials to deliver customer requirements and process improvements.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Reporting of any challenges during trials, ensuring that process standards are in line with company and customer requirements, and documenting the output of all line trials with adherence to food safety, quality standards, and customer requirements.
  • Relationship Building: Building and maintaining relationships with operations and technical teams to enable seamless trials and in-the-moment solutions to challenges.
  • Sample Coordination: Coordinating all sample requests, including ordering or purchasing of products, booking courier transport, and arranging sign-off panels.
  • Stakeholder Management: Managing stakeholders, including employees and internal stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Education: Ideally educated to degree level with a food and/or baking specialism or equivalent knowledge gained through on-the-job training.
  • Technical Knowledge: Has some understanding of technology and food manufacturing principles relevant to the business area and area of responsibility, and a demonstrable understanding of technical key performance indicators.
  • Experience: Has experience operating in a fast-paced dynamic environment, with analytical skills and a full numeracy.
  • Communication Skills: Has good communication skills and experience working with one or more of the major UK retailers.
  • Technical Skills: PC literate (MS Office, SAP) and excellent planning, organizing, and prioritizing skills.
