About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Adult Psychiatrist to join our team at Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust. As a key member of our Rehabilitation Psychiatry service, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality clinical care and contributing to the strategic development of our team and services.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Specialist Assessment and Treatment: Provide comprehensive assessments, formulations, and treatments to individuals with complex severe mental illness, helping them regain skills and confidence to live successfully in the community.
  2. Service Evaluation and Development: Actively participate in service evaluation and planning, contributing to the development of future service improvements.
  3. Learning and Development: Create a learning environment for team members, offering teaching opportunities to rehabilitation teams, partner services, and patients and carers.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: MRCPsych or equivalent, with Approved Clinician status and S12 approval under the Mental Health Act (or achieve this within 3 months of appointment).
  • Registration: Fully registered with the GMC.
