Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Assistant to join our team at SF Recruitment. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our Management Accountant and Financial Controller.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Payroll Processing: Process hourly paid payroll and manage the related control account reconciliations.
  • Fixed Asset Management: Be responsible for the fixed asset register and depreciation.
  • General Ledger Management: Post general ledger cashbook entries and perform bank reconciliations.
  • Support to Management Accountant: Assist with prepayments and accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Warranty Claim Reconciliation: Manage the warranty claim reconciliation process.
  • Expenses and Credit Card Management: Manage expenses and credit card functions.
  • Purchase Ledger Support: Provide support to the purchase ledger clerk, including dealing with queries on problematic accounts and assisting in supplier statement reconciliations.
  • Holiday Cover: Provide occasional holiday cover for other team members, including sales and purchase ledger.
  • Implementation of New Business System: Assist in the implementation of new business systems and technology features across the finance function.
  • Ad Hoc Tasks and Projects: Provide support or lead on ad hoc tasks and projects for the Management Accountant and Financial Controller.
Requirements:
  • Experience in payroll processing and general ledger management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in SAGE 50 PAYROLL and other financial software.
