Job Summary:

Cranswick Country Foods PLC is seeking a skilled Yard Operative to join our team in Norfolk. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our livestock yard, ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Regularly inspect and maintain the yard, ensuring all areas are clean and free from waste
• Segregate and store waste materials correctly, adhering to company protocols
• Label, cover, and dispose of animal by-products in accordance with regulations
• Collect and dispose of waste packaging, removing dirty trays and dolavs from the internal vehicle trailer
• Monitor and maintain the flow of waste from the factory exit
• Assist with the collection, storage, and dispatch of customer bulk orders
• Conduct daily environmental checks and provide assistance with maintenance tasks as required

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar role or with tractor driving, garden machinery, and forklift operation
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility with working hours, including occasional overtime
• Willingness to work in all weather conditions
