Purpose and Context of the Role:
The primary responsibility of this position is to serve as the main liaison for our Foodservice and B2B partnerships, overseeing daily operations and commercial strategies. This role entails managing our existing customer portfolio while actively pursuing new account opportunities within these sectors. It is essential to ensure that Oscar Mayer is dedicated to fulfilling all customer requirements. Develop tailored plans for clients to achieve volume, revenue, and profit objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and nurture relationships with our B2B and Foodservice clients, acting as the main point of contact for buyers.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of Oscar Mayer's capabilities and commercial strategies to identify additional opportunities aligned with these strategies.
- Foster internal relationships across various functions to guarantee effective commercial execution.
- Become well-acquainted with all operational capabilities and processes, contributing to their development based on customer needs.
- Influence cross-functional teams to ensure strategic objectives are achieved.
- Manage both internal and external communications to keep all stakeholders informed about relevant matters and activities.
- Play a vital role in the category process as an essential member of the Oscar Mayer customer team.
- Oversee critical project timelines to ensure timely delivery.
- Collaborate with the NPD Team to support the development pipeline through cost assessments and commercial proposals.
- Ensure timely and complete management of internal and external requirements for product tenders.
- Work with the Director of Sales to establish trading terms.
- Gather and analyze essential commercial data and metrics necessary for financial proposals.
- Accurately predict customer demand to ensure sufficient capacity is available to meet their needs.
- Collaborate across functions to manage category cost reduction initiatives to unlock value throughout the process.
- Provide regular and clear performance updates to the Director of Sales regarding results and potential opportunities.
Required Skills and Experience:
- A highly skilled commercial professional with a proven enthusiasm for sales.
- 3-5 years of experience in a customer-facing or account management role.
- Experience in managing UK Foodservice and B2B relationships and business strategies, preferably in the chilled food sector.
- Proficient in conducting commercial negotiations and CPI recovery.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction both internally and externally.
- Familiarity with category management and consumer insights.
- A natural relationship builder with excellent interpersonal abilities.
- Highly motivated, energetic, and engaging across all levels.
- Resilient and adaptable in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to convert data into actionable insights.
- Highly organized and structured, capable of managing time and priorities effectively.
- A collaborative team player with the ability to influence outcomes positively.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
