Financial Controller Opportunity at Pemberton Park & Leisure Homes Limited

Pemberton Park & Leisure Homes Limited, a well-established manufacturer with a rich history dating back to the 1940s, is seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join their team at the Company Head Office in Wigan.

This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic thinker to contribute to the company's success as a key member of the Management Team, reporting directly to the Managing Director.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead and develop the Finance team to achieve exceptional results.
  2. Produce accurate and timely monthly Management Accounts.
  3. Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are completed efficiently.
  4. Manage account reconciliations, budget and cash flow forecasting, and homes BOM costings and stock valuation.
  5. Oversee the purchase ledger, sales ledger, and credit control function.
  6. Manage submissions to HMRC for PAYE, VAT, and Pensions.
  7. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
  8. Contribute to the Management Team on company-wide challenges and issues.
Person Specification:
  1. Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive change and process improvements.
  2. Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide guidance and mentoring to staff.
  3. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under changing priorities.
  4. Demonstrated project management experience driving successful project completion.
  5. Strategic thinker with a view to long-term career progression opportunities.
Key Skills Required:
  1. Ability to work to strict reporting deadlines with good time-management and organisational skills.
  2. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  3. 10+ years of combined Accounting and Financial Management experience in a commercial environment.
  4. Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
